WEEKLY UPDATE

Week two is in the books & it will go down as a true sausage fest, more on that later. In an evenly matched skate the Darkies avenged the opening night loss with a two goal decision. Some sweet passing led to the first goal for the Darkies & for the life of me I can't remember who scored it, Rusty ripped home the second goal from the point. The Dark lead would grow to 4 before the Whites got on the board. 5 (Mcnabb in last weeks program) got over his fear of playing in the big leagues & was able to keep his dinner down he also found the back of the net & Quiet Brian played well considering he had one hand tied behind his back. Crabby sent Spongee on a fishing expedition with a sweet toe drag then later Spongee blew up beside his net & Fricker gave the Darkies the jolt they needed with his pants on fire style of play.
Romo started the White comeback with a nice goal off the rush, splitting the defense & making me look like a statue & goals by Crafty & White Doug helped chip away at the Dark advantage. Daddy Pat found himself in the middle of everything as usual playing defense & getting his chances, I'm still waiting for him to calculate his plus/minus for the week. Liam was back this week & his knee looks very strong & would he to say he was in mid-season form in the parking lot. We also had a Gold Medalist join us this week, Jim Craig had to leave early because of back troubles & because we were better than the Commies, he couldn't help the Whites get any close than two goals.
Flounder & Murph were once again solid on the backline for the Darkies & Cricket (TheWife in last weeks program & Opie prior to that) was a force using his tremendous speed all over the ice & again in the locker room when the game is over. To bad the Commish had to close sixflags this week because he missed a real shin-dig after the game, The Sausage King (Chuck in last weeks program & Officer Friendly last year) out did any post game to his point in the storied history of the TNHL. Yea, Yea, we have had some tasty brews over the years, excluding Lions Head, and Rusty has supplied deer dick like it is some kind of fetish but this week, while everyone was wondering where the beers were King was out in the lot with his grill warming up his sausage. Awesome, kind of raised the bar, beer & dogs can't wait till its Flounder's turn on the Beer List. Sausage also tipped home a shot at the buzzer, hands down first star.

Till next week
