For Bob and his Priest, from Richard Dawkins' book "The God Delusion":

"Einstein sometimes invoked the name of God, inviting misunderstanding by supernaturalists eager to misunderstand and claim so illustrious a thinker as their own."

Einstein said "It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it."

Here is one more quotation from Einstein:

"I am a deeply religious nonbeliever. This is a somewhat new kind of religion."

Richard Dawkins was ok against the run when he played close to the line of scrimage but had lost more than a step and couldnt cover Teddy Prendergast in one on one and thats why the Eagles let him sign with Denver.

And that's all I got to say about that.

Who is writing this Einstien crap? Einstien is credited with writing a letter to FDR convincing him of the USA's need to develop the A Bomb. He was a very smart man but not infailable, like the Pope, and made mistakes/ bad decisions. He is credited with the start of the US A-Bomb project BUT was NOT cleared to work on the project due to his communist affiliations. He would have approached the Russians with the idea but he knew they couldn't/wouldn't beat Germany to the punch. He didn't know Stalin was just as evil as Hitler.

So if he was wrong about Stalin, was found untrustworthy / could not be cleared by the US to work on the Manhatten project...WHY would I listen to him on religion? Sometimes when people are "super" smart they can not see the most plain facts right in front of them like the existance of G*D.

PS Einstien failed algebra, but does make nice bagels

...Einstein also married his cousin...no joke.

Einstein married Elsa Löwenthal (née Einstein) on 2 June 1919, after having had a relationship with her since 1912. She was his first cousin maternally and his second cousin paternally.

How do you feel about your Einstein now Bobby? You like apples?

Keep your squirrels on your property.

It is with regret that I announce the waiver of my no-trade clause and subsequent retirement from TNHL. I'd ask you to hang a jersey from the rafters, but the way you guys play, it would be hit by more pucks than probably should be. All in all, it has been a pleasure to be the #1 fan - a few life threatening moments with puck flying at me, but a truly amusing and entertaining experience and I will miss you all. Maybe the blog will revert back to a recap of the game? Wishful thinking - I do miss Sixpack! A few notes - 1) don't ever forget the beer. Folks get really cranky...even into the next day. 2) Commish, I expect you to step-up to the challenge and responsibility of #1 fan (that means no leaving at 9:30 to go to the bar- you go to the bar aftewards). White defense...protect Tree - he's got the skills, but those break aways are killers. Play nicely boys...always the #1 fan

I am sorry to hear we have lost our fan. It s a sad, sad day. Ex-fan, don't feel bad about Crabby's comment, we are ALL dead to him.

Sorry to say I will not be able to make it to this Tuesday's skate due to snow. Philly airport is closed, my flight has been cancelled and Tuesday night is the first available flight out.

Happy Digging
