I think he should get one more shot to play against the doubters. Plus, how great is the nickname Charlie in the Box, especially because no one wants him.

I know he hit a made guy taking on Billy Batts. I get it thats a mistake.
As I learned from the master Liam this league is not about the hits or winning its about sharing a laugh and a cold one.
Its your league if you want him out he's gone and theres nothing we can do.
My vote is one more chance after I talk to him.
After all Liam gave me my chance for redemption.

I say Charlie stays. Granted I have not played against him, but I will to see things from both sides if needed. I haven't seen him do anyting any of us has done out there. We have ALL gotten a piece of somebody with a stick or body (by accident in the course of the game, of course)and we have ALL taken the same back. We have been at this, as a group, for a long time and know each other well enouh that we know it is NOT intentional and all is cured with the standard "AwRIGHT?". Charlie has not been around very long and has not had a chance to develop that history and may not know the code word "AWRIGHT". Let's calarify the standards and guidelines of the TNHL to him and see if he can adjust his game. I have not been around since the beginning of TNHL, but I have been here more then most of our current line up. Over the years the roster has gradually turned over with new players and I recall there were grumbles with many of the new players at first. Then they adjusted or we got to know them and they became the valued contributors to the TNHL that they are now. Anyone else remenber Tree & Wojo a few years back? I do, those end boards are still shaking and they seem fine now.

I dont care if he stays or goes but i am not going to back down from him if he is going to go as hard as he does. If i recall what happened with our collision i had just hit the post then the puck wraped around the boards and i was going after it i belive i even hit the boards before we collided he could of backed down also but chose not to so why should i.

I have an idea...Chuck, you explain the concept of offsides and visiting your own end once in a while. Shooter, you explain the new trick play in hockey called a pass.

I say tell him the unwritten rules. Give him a chance. If you are on the bench you don't see it because we are usually sucking wind. Hits from behind away from the play, slashes, etc. aren't acceptable. I can only speak for myself. I dealt with it my own way, but shouldn't have to. This is hockey, yes, thats the point, it will escalate. It got ugly at the end of last skate, if you were on white you knew. There were 4 guys looking to mess with him. Explain how we play, then see what happens. Later, can't wait till TUESDAY!!

As usual Bobby is the voice of reason. Even though I have failed miserably trying to coach Chuck I think I can reel the Box man in and develope the family philosophy of the TNHL.
And yes we do need more players or we may end up like the Firebirds!
PS- anybody see Chucky Gormley on Coatsey's corner? I'm sending him an email and asking him if there is a chapter in his new book about when he played for me and got his front teeth knocked out by Chimmer!

did i mis-read that post? the commish said kilgore is the voice of reason? isnt that one of the concussion tests they give players? they ask them their name, what team they play for etc and also if kilgore is the voice of reason.

I just wanted to make the comments reach the forty mark, don't know who Charlie is but I know he must abide by the unwritten number one rule: everyone playing has to work in the morning. Unless you get stuck working nights & in that case you have to get up for work in the evening. And rule #2 NO JERKOFFS, one warning if the behavior continues he must go. Hopefully Charlie gets the message because it seemes to me I would have alot of fodder for the UPDATE when I return. See you soon.
