WEEKLY UPDATE

This has been on hell of a season so far every game has been decided by two or less but not this one. After 80 minutes of play the White boys scored the last goal to forge a 4-4 tie. As you might have guessed the goalies are on top of their game, Tree saw more rubber than a gay pride parade & played on of his best games yet between the pipes. It looked like Darkies were going to skate away with this one after Crabby potted two quick goals off sweet feeds from White Doug about ten minutes in. The Dark lead stretched to three when a pass from the corner bounced off Romo's leg found the net. At that point Tree seemed to grow larger & was more erect just look at this picture.

The Dark boys shots from every angle with no luck, speedy Irish Ryan was back & had more than a few chances but no goals, Quiet Brain used his uncanny hockey sense & skills but was shut out.  We saw a special kind of speed from Cricket this week after shedding Liam's pants he Marched out to fulfill his beer list obligations, save of the night.

At the other end the White boys were not having any luck scoring either, solid defense kept a zero on the board for about an hour. Despite another strong forecheck effort turned in by Fricker & Chuck there were just no goals, Daddy Pat dished from his point position & jumped into open lanes looking to score with no luck. Larry Gloves joined us again filling in for Spongee, the rink was much quieter. Found out that Romo is a surfer dude so I went looking for pictures......

Anyway he and Johnny Longpants brought it from the blueline as they always do but the Darkies kept them in check as well. Rusty rules his own end like he does the beer list while Flounder continues to serve & protect like he is on duty. Then there is Murph, quite possibly the toughest guy in the "T", don't believe me check out this picture from his high school yearbook.

Back to the game, you're not gonna keep the White line up down all night, like I said a few weeks ago, no one quits in the TNHL, except Glen. As time ticked away Crafty found the net followed by a pair from Shooter arguably the all time leading goal scorer in the TNHL, he may also have the lowest shooting percentage, but the game was tied. Amazingly the Dark took the lead again when 5 ripped home a one timer even though he was suffering with a sinus infection so bad the pressure would not allow him to return to his own end. But just when it looked like a Dark victory was at hand Crafty blasted home the last goal of the night to secure the tie, great game.

                                                                  Till next week

Just wanted to let you guys know  Jay will be  playing in a charity game for the family of his friend and SLUGS teammate Officer Bradley Fox, who was killed in the line of duty on September 13.  The game will be played November 24 @ The University of Pennsylvania Class of '23 Rink, tickets & info will follow. Who had the fifth for the Dark and why does the guy before me stutter? Maybe if you had scored before the Rink Master was standing at the door you would not need to cling to "the next goal wins". Jay will let us know about tickets etc.

I believe that the tix will be $10. As far as the rest of the details, I am not sure. This is not my club's exclusive event, we are co- sponsoring. As soon as I know Ill let you know. We are also selling T-shirts. Ill bring samples on Tues. Thanx for your intrest. This is bad hockey for a good cause.
I thought dark had 5 goals also. Why do you think we let white have "last goal"?
