Game Summary
Led by Brit "I'm a lot younger than you old farts and I can skate all day" Goldfinger, the dark (aka cheatin' bastards) won in overtime. Both goalies played well and little sponge kept the white team at bay until late in the tilt. I guess even a young buck like that can overcome only so many of dad's giveaways. Straube grabbed picked up the Selke trophy for the night by stopping LongPants twice in a row on the same shift.
Only Curtis Anderson Wilson and I hit Nick's after the tilt so that's a draw. 4 beers, 2 combos: $12 I think old Jimmy is finally figuring this bartending thing out. MIA: Fricker, Holy Tom, Carl, and Murph. Aren't they all on the white squad?

First of all, I am fat, and past the 35 threshold where we are all considered "old". Second, it was a complete TEAM effort by the dark squad...with passing and back checking and not shooting from anywhere on the ice...although I have never been told by a coach to be more selfish, but hey, Fred Shero was an odd-genius too and he won Cups...oh, and no icing.
The puck moves faster than any little fat guy on the ice.

Rusty: I need an updated beer list. Don't think LongPants should be on it since he hardly ever drinks. MArc is on the hook for next week, but when was the last time he played?
Brit: Shero, icing? are you nuckin futz? That was his game plan for beating the Bruins and specifically for tiring out Bobby Orr. Dump and chase.

The Shero reference was regarding the coach telling me to "be more selfish"...the icing was simply a cut on the Irish cheaters.

Dark 2 White 1 at 10:00 pm, while the shinny at the end was exciting I think it is a little unfair to ask THE GREAT WALL OF ZACH to keep you old timers in the game any longer than he has to. As far as the series goes, how after one game can the dark lead the series 2-0? Rest assured Provo's if it takes a shut-out to top them that is what we will do next week.
