And then there was one...
What started as an outing, became a foursome and dwindled down to one.
I did get out to golf on Friday with one of my non-skating friends (I have a few) who is a hoopster. The day started off rough because we were playing behind a foursome of "The Clampetts go Golfing". I am serious, these folks should have been carted off and taken to Clayton park. Once the ranger got Jed and the clan under control OR their score when above 20 and Jethro could not do his "figurin" anymore they seem to disappear. The day was a good day of golf until the storm cam roaring in. After trying to play through some "Caddy Shack" rain storm conditions, we remembered how that ended for the minister in the movie and Hi-Tailed it off the course and into the safe haven of Dukes. All in all a good day...except I had to take some ripping from the hoopster on how can hockey players bail out on golf AND how puckheads are becoming more like Cindy Crosby then Mark Messier, you know...sweet.
All fun a side the summer is slipping away and wee need to get another outing scheduled. I am good most weeks, except the week of Aug 16 - 22 I will be down the shore.
