WEEKLY UPDATE

The Darkies continued their roll as they skated away with another close win this week behind  a huge night from Murph who after blocking several shots with his now swollen left foot found enough in his tank to join a rush & score the beer frame goal. Tree was great in net for the Whites making the save of the season with his glove about an hour in, unbelievable. The Dark squad played a simple game using precise passing, four of which went through the crease from Quiet Brian to Wojo back to QB then Woj before finding the net, off a bad pass.

Most of the other goals were a result of some accurate shooting, the Commish scored one through a screen from the top of the circle that was an absolute seed. He was also the architect of the game plan in which the boys kept them short by doing two things I do when I get home from work..... Dump and Change. The White boys had some offensive punch as well, Daddy Pat opened the scoring early & was in the mix all night which is more than we can say for his Eagles. Crafty was held mostly in check in this one ,he picked up his points but I think his mind was on a different game. Speaking of your mind being else where, Shooter was kept off the board and has as many good sticks left as he does hips. Fricker sped around the rink as is his way earning a goal for all his hard work & I'm not sure if he is getting faster or we are getting slower. Romo's game was not at it's usual level as he seemed to suffer from missing a key defensive partner. That's right Spongee, the straw that stirs the drink, went to a Wal-Mart in North Carolina to buy a highway or something.
Chubby filled in nicely once again, his ability to shift all that weight at once led to a few goals. Crabby donned a White jersey this week, guess he got tired of winning. Cricket was one of only three defenseman dressed for the Darkies this week & obviously logged a ton of ice time but somehow still managed to be the first one out of the locker room, he does know the beers are free right?

White Doug, who became a member of the TNHL through his sponsor Liam is making us forget about our favorite landscaper, with his play & they way he can throw back the beers after the game. Chuck & Flounder battled it out in this one & as has been the case for a few years, they were against each other but that has not always been the case. I have uncovered a picture of our favorite crime fighters from their days at the academy.

I had the suds this week & LaBatt's Lite seemed to be a hit. One more thing, Rusty has officially landed on the milk carton list along with the striper he was fishing for.

Till Next Week
