Sixpack Summary

Snow flurries blew around town today & the boys flew around the rink tonight, but like the drifting snow, the white was plowed to the side of the road by the Dark squad. Despite an outstanding effort in goal by Tree, the white boys could muster only five goals(Brit had that many himself) which was one fewer than the back to back winners.

The Commish tried all his old tricks, knocking over all the sticks while the boys were getting ready, supplying water bottles for his bench only, shooting into an open net well after play had been stopped. In spite of all this foolishness the darkies
stayed focused & chipped away at the white knights.

Chuck once again played inspired hockey, even if it was only on half the ice. The White led by the duo of Johnnylong & Tiny Tim on the blueline, had plenty of good chances, goals by Fricker, Crabby, & Daddy Pat pushed the White lead to 2 goals. Once again the pace was quick & at times some of the weary looked like rod hockey players that had slid up their peg, spinning around & missing the puck.

All in all it was a good show for our fan. Just like last week the last goal really would win the game & as usual it was some of the best hockey of the night. Each team had their chances & both goalies had big saves. Finally, after a big defensive play by Spongee & Murph, Chuck scored to send us into the night. The Beer detail was handled nicely by Fricker & I think Kurty Downlow supplied whatever treats he needed for Nick's.
