Game Summary

White wins, but dark showed grit and character in fighting back and making it close. Some game leaders are shown below:

This past week was an exciting skate with the milestones and rarities for all to enjoy. The start out with both teams skating briskly up and down the ice. It looked like it was going to be a night for the goalies until the Commish took charge. Skating hard, and with determination to get on the score card the Commish broke the ice with the first goal of the night. Unfortunately, it was on his own goalie. Never deterred he kept his focus and chatter on the bench. He was heard bragging; hey, he gave me the short side, I had to take it. A few shifts later the Commish skated his way into the THNL record books when he scored for his own team. This makes him the first player in TNHL history to score the night’s first goal…. For both teams! Not since the likes of Steve Smith & Jim Marshall has such feats of accomplishment been seen. After the game the Commish, asking to be called PGS, stated I can score on any siv. Congratulations Commish!
Once the theatrics and fanfare was over, the night settled down into a good skate. The dark team (and the Commish) jumped out to an early one goal lead. That didn’t last long before the game was tied by the white (and the Commish). From that point momentum swung in favor of the white team as they jumped out to a multi-goal lead. Sixpack should great restraint and didn’t swing or break any sticks. Some attribute his self control to maturity; others think it is due the high price of goalie sticks. You decide. The dark team, frustrated they could not get anymore goals out of the Commish, began to shoot themselves. This strategy reaped some benefits as they scratch and clawed their way back to within one. It looked liked we could have a typical “Next Goal Wins” night, by it was not to be. A couple late goals form the white team and a rookie rink rat ended the night at exactly 10:15:01PM

Thanks Pat, I do take exeption to the assist count for White it was at least 4 and 0 for Dark my goal was unassisted. Not sure what went wrong on the pitchfork move the Flyers do it all the time!

I was watching the Pens - Caps game and I think I saw the Commish playing for the Caps and scoring for the Pens.
Some guys just skate around on Tuesdays and hope something happens. I'm not there to make friends just score goals on siv's. The Cap's stole my idea on making the game quicker. My hope was to get Chuck to play his own end and score on Joe.
Same sides as last wek. Chuck wear the same jersey you wore last week okay? Okay Chuck you wore black.
How many goals will the Commish have? How many will be for his team?

Bad news on Siv-pack. He quit the game summary to devote his time to the Collingdale Legends Blog. The swiss one would rather live in the past than face the White Squad each week.

White wins again! Team defense, postional play,solid goaltender, and unselfish players were the keys to the game.
Dark the homerun pass and watching Brit do all the work wont win the game. It takes a team to win on Tuesday's.

GAME SUMMARY
White hustled Dark didnt.
White forechecked Dark didnt.
White passed the puck. Dark watched Brit.
White had the Wall. Dark didnt.
White shifted quick Brit didnt.
White's a family Dark are individuals.
Eye in the sky.
Keys to the game...
White kept Brit off the scoresheet, shooter off the score sheet and gave the Commish a GPS to tape to his stick.
GPS, PGS, whatever as long as the White team wins! Blogger was right its a family. Confidence could be an issue next week. I did over hear the Siv telling Murph how much he missed him last week.
Sounds like the squabbling is starting. Ice and chase sucks Dark play the right way!

Glad to see the White team are such gracious winners. Let's look back at the past comments when the dark team won I'm sure they handeled it with class,as if they had won before & will win again.
