Game Summary

Once again a quick pace was on tap for the TNHL this week, the boys were flying out there last night, as the Darkies avenged last week's one goal loss with a spirited three goal victory.

After jumping out to an early 4-1 lead the Darkies watched as the Whites battled back to tie the game, only to see the Dark gang score the last three goals on the night.
The Dark squad was led by some soon to be Commish Teammate, Johnny Longpants & Curty Downlow on the offensive end & Murph selflessly throwing his body through the boards to make plays in his own end.

Spongee in the meantime is playing some great hockey; he is cursing less each week. The turnaround started shortly after he got the complete Barry Manilow collection downloaded into his ipod & he did not miss a shift after getting caught with only his stump in his hand.

Chuck , Liam & the MRSA Missile Rusty set the tone with early goals & helped out in their own end. Liam made a great play along the boards in his own end to start a rush that led to a goal while protecting a one goal lead. Young Joe Mcc, will call him Quart, Geoff Sanderson's brother Brian & Mike the avid reader also chipped in with some big plays.

The offensive minded White crew did little to help out Tree, who turned in another clutch performance, leaving Rob out to dry on several occasions. You had to know it was not going to be Crabby's night, after he decided to defect from the Dark side & become a Jedi knight he almost screwed himself into the ice while trying to take a slap,wrist,snap shot from between the circles. He almost hit the puck and seemed to be fighting the puck all night. Krafty Craskey is mired in a terrible slump as he cannot seem to find the back of the net, I told him to try shooting on the other goalie.

Brit & Tiny Tim continued to push the tempo with their speed leading to several good scoring chances but they have yet to meet the Commish's high standards. One last time boys ON THE TAPE AT THE BACK DOOR OR DON'T BOTHER PASSING AT ALL. Jaybird added some offense from the blue line with a few nice shots on goal through traffic & teamed with Carl as the best pair of White defenders on the night.

Tuesday marked the return of Stinky Pete to the subs list, Stinky; a veteran of many years on said list, still has not washed his jersey. There is always room next to Pete in the locker room & on the bench. Tuesday may also have meant the end of the TNHL career of L.A. Don, Donny, pending a physical, will be farmed out to the TNHL's minor league affiliate in Los Angeles in exchange for Big Papi & a bag of pucks. This was the first game in a month where the last goal was not the game winner but the game was just as completive & the beer just as tasty, thanks to the tag team of Brian the new tin man & L.A Don for the beers.
