Game Summary

Before we get started just a couple of news items:

• First, Our annual Martin Luther King Jr. barbecue & basketball game was canceled again due to lack of attendance


• As many of you know, Heath Ledger, one of Liam's favorite actors died on Tuesday.
  Word is old Heath had always wanted to do his own stunts & chocked to death during the filming of Brokeback Mountain 2- The Re-Mount.

Now on to the game, after many weeks of trying & the continuous stacking of the team the white squad wins, again on the last goal of the night. Led by the speedy Brit, the whites earned a dramatic come from behind victory. Tree again was great in net, especially late as Crabby, The Commish & Tiny Tim, one of the few guys that can keep up with Brit all night, scored in the late stages.

The Darkies battled all night led by Shooter, Johnny Longpants, & Daddy Pat who was at his net crashing best. Chuck & Liam also chipped in with their usual strong play. On defense Murph held down the fort as he always does for the dark side & Spongee had his best game of the season on the back line.

Two of the unsung heroes of the week were Rusty the MRSA Missile who potted two early goals to get the darkies going & Big Pappi Pappa who got on the board with two of his own one on a breakaway & the other off a sweet pass from Quiet Brian.

L.A. Donny showed he was a real 2 way player; he goes TO WAY over the other side of the ice & waits for a player to get him the puck. DONNY IS ON THE BEER LIST THIS WEEK, he needs to be reminded.

Anyway, hats off to the white squad they were really flying last night, Carl, Krafty Kraskey, Jay Bird & especially Quiet Brian along with the rest of the guys kept up the pressure all night. Also the Dark team, the guys that were already mentioned & Geoff Sanderson's brother Brian, fought till the last goal. Chuck did a nice job with the beer, the ice & the cooler are another matter, assists from Spongee, Murph & Big Pappi meant beers from around the globe last night, Guinness, Labatts, Corona & some domestics as well, nice job.
