Game Summary

In one of the best games of the year the White squad skated away with a hard fought victory, at 10pm the score was 5-3. Now I'm sure that this will bring plenty of "comments" on the Blog disagreeing with this score but the president has been set in previous tourneys by the Commish.........


This week was the start of our annual tournament & as usual the bragging rights meant a quality skate. The format has changed a bit this as there was a draft to choose the teams so the Ireland- USA Challenge has been abandoned at least for this year. Official Score
Dark 2 White 1 at 10:00 pm, while the shinny at the end was exciting I think it is a little unfair to ask THE GREAT WALL OF ZACH to keep you old timers in the game any longer than he has to. As far as the series goes, how after one game can the dark lead the series 2-0? Rest assured Provo's if it takes a shut-out to top them that is what we will do next week.

Six pack is correct its 1-0 Dark. Father Crab we finish April 10th but thats the family skate unless you Spuds call a redo match!
Take quitter Marc off the beerlist as well as J.L. he shouldnt have to buy. Thank you Father Crab.

2-1 at 10:00 thats a TNHL record cudos to the skaters who showed up on both sides.(except for Chuck who flopped like p**sy)

These posts were taken directly from the Blog entry dated March 2007, this can only mean the White leads the series 1-0. On to the game, Liam opened the scoring as he seems to every tourney & played his typical strong game, Pat , Fricker & Chuck also turned in a solid effort at both ends. The Darkies used the patented Straube fore-check matched with Curty's speed & Quiet Brian's smarts to keep the pressure on.

The White crew was able to get out to a 3-0 lead about half way through, as Lil' Carl used his teenaged speed to back off defenders & Crabby & Murph were able to deal from the points. Tiny Tim buzzed around all night & teamed with J-Bird on the back line to help keep the Darkies at bay.

Meanwhile the Darkies were able to generate several good scoring chances as JR's former winger Bill was turned away early & Shooter & Brit had breakaways denied. The Darkie were able to break through with about fifteen minutes remaining but the final score was as close as the score would get.

The spirited play with such a low score can only mean the goaltending was top notch, Rob turned in another solid performance in his first tournament game between the pipes.

The "Shinny" after 10 was a different story as the Darkies controlled play and skated all over the Whites scoring five more time in the extra session led by Big Pappi & Crafty Craskey & Mike the avid reader also found the back of the net.

Next week will be game two, hopefully it will be as well played as this weeks game. Nice job by the Commish on the refreshments in the locker room afterwards.
