WOOZEY UPDATE
As I bow out of tonight's tilt, I thought I should catch up with the action from last week.
As many of you know I took a spill about half way through the skate, got dizzy & just went down. Now there are several theories as to why this happened, perhaps I was overcome with the news that Obama was about to become President or I had mistakenly filled my water bottles with grain alcohol, or maybe I just kept replaying the Commish's move around Britzky I finally became to dizzy to remain upright. None of this would be true, the truth is I'm just getting old & a simple head cold can throw me for a loop. Lets face it I'm just one wet fart away from being placed in a home a wearing disposable under garments.
I can't tell you much about the game, from what I remember it was pretty good. I had this good picture so I guess I'll say the Dark came out on top of the White.

No doubt I will score a multitude of times this evening, and our weekly reporter will be at home recovering. Oh well. I'll save you the last beer Joe, and present it next week, along with your cooler.
Siv-pack, please get well we cant take another night of the broke dick dog trapper non flopper.
It was worse than you can imagine. Even if you pass out you will go down one more time than the effin tire we had in there last night.

The new Siv was scooping leather all night his pads were dry after the skate seems they never touched the ice.

I echo everyone's sentiment for Siv Pack's return. Joe, hope all is well.
However, you guys need to lighten up on our sub-siv. Yes there were some soft goals, yes he takes the "Stand Up" goalie style literally but he did make some good/tough saves. Seems he could make the saves on the tough shots but had trouble with the more average ones. Regardless, the man jumped in net with less then a days notice and we were not playing 1/2 ice (most of us weren't) or with one net turned around. I say he was the MVP for saving our skate and we need to say thank you for making the biggest save of all. Our Tuesday night skate.

Frank IS confirmed for this Tuesday night. We need to decide what routine we want him to follow (1st Tue of each month, 2nd, 3rd?)
The guy helped us out in a pinch and he gets badmouthed because he's not Joe. That's fucked up.

I say give Sponge Joe's gear...can you say HEAD SHOTS?!!!

Trapper helps us out by putting his body in goal. Whoever wrote those bad words were the players that thought Trapper was giving the finger with his glove up in the air after "ALL" those saves.
If there is room for a sub, wait until you see Trapper Skate out...
Brit is moving around again,I guess he had 5 sick days left to use by the end of the year....

Good job Trapper. If we had a real Commishioner (not just a collection agency) we would have a back up siv on the fly. I guess all the money is for the water bottles!!!!!!!!!!!

The last two weeks of hockey has been funny...Joe couldn't stand up and Trapper couldn't go down.
So I'm at the Bonner/Malvern Prep game tonight at the Skatium. I swore I saw a scout from Springfield resembling Commish but I must have been mistaken, or perhaps I was dissed, because this guy blew me off. A glimmer of a memory seemed to pass over him for just a brief second and then this guy just pawned me off to being some crazy hockey mom...
"How do I know her?" he says in his mind. But there were players to watch. Defenses to prepare. And then he was gone. Only a brief word had been muttered and it was only a gesture when this woman addressed him as "STRAUBE". His recollection had been dim and he probably hoped that I was just confusing him with someone else...
How then would I know his name? Recognize him as the Springfield coach/scout? Was it his name "Dan" on the right side of his Springfield jacket? No, it was the illustrious TNHL where he has become widely known. However, my lack of participation in this early season seems to have made me a distant fan and somewhat unrecognizable apparently. A distant memory only in name....
Offended? Not really, just hurt that the one mascot of the TNHL has been shunned and disregarded...I'm sure he'll have to make it up to me if wants any striper!!!
Buffy, no offense meant to you as you were with the other hockey moms who were probably complaining about lack of playing time for there kids.
You have to admit you are falling into the ex-player catagory since your replacement by "the fan"

Rusty tells me that the "SuperFan" has been there for most games. But what type of fan can she be if she doesn't have access to the blog? I credit her for being able to watch, for longer than 10 minutes at a time, chilled molecules dance around and occasionally bump into one another. I hope she brings a good book!
When was the last time they had wives night where the wives get invited to come hang out at Nick's for a beer? Perhaps you guys, like the Flyers, could put together some sort of charity gig...we could call it "TNHLer Wives Carnival" and it could benefit the beer fund-or-maybe it would be enough to buy someone a new pair of pants.
How about doing a signing where the wives would come see their biggest hockey heroes and get their shirt/hat signed by one of you? What have you done for the fans lately?

It is confirmed; Frank will be there to night around 8:00 PM to sharpen skates. We need to decide which Tuesady of each month we wnat him to reserve for TNHL. I know this is his first visit, but it may be time for the holiday tip.
I will have tickets for the Beef & Beer on December 7th, 4:00 PM at the Springfiled Knights of Columbus. Raised funds helps a good friend & family feeling the fiscal crunch as he fights Colon Cancer. There will be Band, DJ and many quality auction items. tickets are $25 each. Hey,...This looks like a perfect TNHL fan & wife Appreciation event!?!
