WEEKLY UPDATE

Before we get into the game lets get a quick update on the Commish, I spoke to him tonight (Thursday), he is still in the hospital but feeling better & hopes to be released sometime Friday. Dan has spent the last five days or so in the hospital after suffering a staph infection in his leg (lower body injury) not an infected staff as first reported. Hopefully Dan will be able to rejoin us soon & we wish him well. Now on to the game.
No Commish, no problem as the teams were pretty even which means an even game that saw the Dark edge the White in the end. After a slow start the Dark squad battled back from a 2-0 deficit & started to pull ahead behind Chim-Chim (Brit)& Daddy Pat, along with the youthful enthusiasm of the hic-cup quick Craig Hedrick. His play making picked up the bench, Moose (the new guy)played with much more confidence this week if nothing else & Curty & Fricker also buzzed around all night. On defense Murph was his usual self, in position with an active stick & teamed with Jaybird for a strong defensive pairing. Spongee was also on the back line playing on of his best games making some good outlet passes & working up a good thirst.
The Whites were led by the usual suspects; Tim, Rudy, Quiet Brian & Crabby used their size & speed & kept Sixpack busy all night. Liam & Chuck used the relentless fore check just like they do every week while the speed & skills of Shane Dunfee & Tony Romo have kept Sixpack sore for the past two days. Shane used the Forsberg deke to put me on a postage stamp in Sweeden. Tree was solid in goal making some huge saves after some nice Dark passing plays & kept the Whites in the game. The Darkies held the lead late but the Whites kept chipping away with goals only to be answered until the last one.
The beer was handled by Chuck, without pretzels and he fell about 18 beers short of the TWO CASE MINIMUM with a 30 pack of Coors Light, Tony Romo smuggled in a few Yuengling's to help out. And just when you thought the consecutive game streak would be broken, the Fan showed up with a couple minutes left in our game to keep it alive!
GET WELL COMMISH
I think if you strech before you play you may be able to prevent infection

The skate was not the same without the commish. It was fast pace, played at a high skill level and without conflict.
Kidding we missed you commish; And don't worry your cover story about a "mystery infection" is safe.
