WEEKLY UPDATE

 Another TNHL season has come to an end with a near perfect performance from Tree & the White boys as they have skated off into the summer with a win. The play was even just like the score early on as some quality goaltending kept the game scoreless for the first twenty five minutes before the Constipation Kid found the back of the net after a goal mouth scramble.

 Soon after goals from Romo & Bob the Cop widened the gap before Chuck's shot from the slot crossed the line at the speed of a curling stone, & Hockey Dave banked a shot home from behind the net.

 The game was not as one sided as I'm making it sound, the Darkies had several good chances, going back to a couple lines that had success around Christmas but even the DNA lines were held in check. The Commish & 5 were as frustrated as Shooter & Pop Gun, they did not break through till an hour had run off the clock, the stingy defensive pair of Spongee & special guest Chickie cleared sight lines & rebounds then led the breakout on almost every shift. A re-energized Crafty & an always energized Fricker kept the pressure for the White & earned points, beers & in Fricker's case a lollipop. The Darkies finally broke through, Crickett & Johnny Longpants used their considerable offensive skills to help the Dark cause but the puck did not find the back of the net often enough. Flounder & Murph turned in their usual workman like efforts on D for the Dark & deserved a better performance from yours truly. The locker room was alive after the skate & it was good to see old friends Crabby & Liam, The Commish did a nice job with the beers & the boys were out in the parking lot to enjoy the back up suds provided by Crabby & Flounder, our very own seafood buffet.

 So we head into the summer as a battered group, Daddy Pat, Johnny Longpants & The Commish all have shoulder issues, Rusty's back aches & old Britter is still battling headaches so I'm sure everyone could use some rest. For the first time in close to a decade we had attendance problems so Fricker decided to figure out why, turns out the leading cause of guys missing each week are hip replacements and living next door to Spongee so Quiet Brian should not move to Springfield & take care of that hip.


As for me I plan to take a couple months off to let my body heal & get back to its normal shape...... a 200 pound block of Habbersetts Scrapple. Looking forward to the golf outing & some summer hockey, keep checking the blog & I'll try to post some bullshit & breasts each week.
