WEEKLY UPDATE

Turned out to be a long night on Tuesday as the White squad hammered the Darkies with a late barrage of goals. The Dark gang kept things close for awhile as the goaltending was up to the task. Things changed when Daddy Pat slid a sweet pass to the tape of Chuck for a one-timer & followed that with a low shot that was tipped home by Romo, all on the same shift. That opened the flood gates or at least my five hole, while Tree played his usual solid game I couldn't stop a curling stone, I really had my salad tossed.
A thank you has to go out to the guys that filled in on short notice, Joe, Mike & Dave did a good job after being called up to the TNHL, I asked that they do not to return. Rusty is close to returning seems he has been tied up with a Peco training issue.

Spongee played his normal hard skating profanity laced game despite his busy schedule, not only is he running his own successful business in his spare time Spongee is trying to save his beloved Bonner High. As a matter of fact he did a media tour this past weekend, kind of like they do at the Super Bowl, & was even quoted in one of the finest publications in the Philadelphia area. The prestigious Delaware County Daily Times, considered by many the second best source of information (this BLOG would be the first) featured two or more lines in the Sunday edition, no word on who translated.

Opie did an A-pus job on the beer packing two frothy flavors, Labatt's & Molson Canadian. He even labeled the cooler which kind of ruined the surprise & might just be a sign of OCD. Well I hope that next week I find my game & can help make the skate competitive. My plan is to study up on my craft and maybe take a lesson but I'm not sure how much I can afford to spend.
Anyway...Til next week.

WEEKLY UPDATE

Great to be back between the pipes this week, the pace of play did not let me ease on into it but I guess that's life in the TNHL.
The White squad skated away with a hard fought win, two late goals were the difference matching the biggest lead of the night. The game got off to a quick start & the Whites had a two goal lead just five minutes in only to see the Darkies answer with two of their own to tighten things up. Tree was at his best using his quick legs to bring his bench to their feet. Johnny Longpants, Britter & Romo set the offense in motion using their speed & crisp passing leading to many quality chances for Daddy Pat & Chuck. Crafty & Shooter found the back of the net along with The Great ZWANN, that kid was around the net the whole game proving he has good hockey genes. His mother must be one hell of a hockey player. Spongee anchored the defense with his physical style of play right up until the collision with Quinnlan, Spongee went down like an Italian cruise ship.

On the Dark side the Commish kept boys focused on the game with his unique brand of leadership after falling behind, Dirty Curty & Fricker popped home goals & buzzed the White zone all night. Liam continues to look better with each skate as his knee gets stronger & White Doug played well at both ends of the ice putting to rest the rumor he needs a GPS on an elevator & to find his defensive zone. Crabby & Quiet Brian took shifts at forward & D each had big plays especially at the defensive end. Flounder was huge in his own end muting a sure goal early on with a quick stick then had at least two great chances on the rush. Opie played his normal fast forward game racking up goals, assists & frequent flyer miles while covering every inch of the ice.
It took a few minutes for me to catch up with the locker room banter after being away for a few weeks, talk of apple-teenies & Uncle Eddie made little sense to me then in the parking lot things got weird. Romo did a tremendous job with the beer loading up a mini fridge with a variety that was as cold as it was plentiful. The mid January gathering in the lot allowed us to learn of Shooter's GILF fantasy & had Quiet Brian seeing ghosts with flash lights, there was also a discussion about organ donors & down syndrome among other things.
Missing this week were Rusty, he was running an equipment drive for homeless hockey playing bartenders & Murph who was off filming a porno using his stage name CLAYMONT STEELE.

Till next week

WEEKEND UPDATE

Well boys Im gonna try another come back, after a few weeks of therapy and absolutely zero help from the work doctors I have had enough. I took all their advice, first they said ice

That didn't help, then they said maybe it's your diet, nope

Exersice.....Well its fun to watch but

So I decided to try spending some quality time with my family.
So my foot feels better hopefully it is good enough to finish out the season because the only thing worse than sitting home while you guys are skating is reading the blog. My play might not be up to par but I promise to get the blog back up to speed starting NOW!

White won?

Apparently White power has claimed victory in last week's tilt. But more importantly, there was a complaint about the Swedish ladies being too young. So rather than offend anyone's fragile sensibilities, I'll stick to more mature models.

p.s. I think she's one of the original Prendi grads.

No Frank tonight ...

Frank will NOT be there to sharpen those double-runners tonight! He is confirmed for next Tuesday!

Crabby is not responsible for the horrendous spelling, grammar, and spongeification of this blog's content.
