WEEKLY UP-LATE

Sorry about the delay with the update, as many of you know my computer was on vacation in Texas the past week or so but I have returned to the Internet & now my wrist hurts.
I'm not sure which team won this week, it was a back & forth battle so I'm just gonna say the White boys win because of they scored the "next goal wins" goal. Short benches didn't slow the pace as Romo & the White's showed some early jump & took the lead banking a shot/pass from the corner behind the goal line off my stick & into the net, making it a two goal game. The Darkies then went on a run of their own, Crafty was sporting a dark jersey for maybe the first time all season was a welcomed addition & other than his left handed shot looked exactly like Crabby. Oh yea & Crabby has a bomb for a slapshot. Opie's relentless attack helped the Dark climb back into this one & eventually take the lead, his high tempo game make this old guy tired just watching him. Murph & Flounder had their hands full with the speed of some of the White flat-bellies & did a great job logging major minutes with the short bench. While the Darkies were looking to fill the net Tree was looking to change the color his new White pads, they wont stay that color for long with the way he plays.
Quiet Brian & Fricker managed to find the scoreboard but were frustrated many times with Tree's new gear. The Darkies could have used a few more goals because the White squad had some tricks up their sleeves, Officer Friendly kept the pressure on with his forecheck often picking up loose pucks & generally wreaking havoc in the Dark end, they even used the hottest stick in the T. Spongee, playing his unique style of turn it over & curse your decision, channeled his childhood hero & began to dance around the ice like Prince
& for the second week in a row found the back of the net, Sponge says the shots are falling like Purple Rain. The Whites then used the "Potato Salad Line" featuring Shooter, Rusty & their sons these guys made the Dark end look like a family reunion. While the proud fathers did their share, Popgun & Rustoleum kept the Dark squad winded & wounded as their lead melted away. Shooter ended the tilt with a wrist shot & Liam Limped in with a pot of gold or at least a cooler full of Molsen Golden....
Awesome!
Commish, Daddy Pat & Curty missed this week due to a conflict with a rally in support of Trayvon
& Johnnylong Pants was drunk.

Till next week

WEEKLY UPDATE

Computer troubles kept me from posting our Update sooner but as they say better late than never. Pretty good skate this week as the Darkies skated off with a come from behind win. The dark squad overcame another strong effort from Tree who has been in a "Briz" like zone these last few weeks. Curty & Opie were flying through the White end keeping the game in reach & the Darkies were finally able to take their first lead about the half way point. Crabby must have grown another claw this week & it looked strong when he uncorked a Howitzer to the top corner from the face off circle. The White boys tied the game as Crafty notched his weekly opening goal then young Mike H put them ahead with a couple goals from bad angels then a couple from some good ones. Officer Friendly chipped in with at least one goal I can remember & played a solid game besides. Shooter's game was electric, just like his "spaceship" car, playing on that bad hip on back to back nights proves his toughness & dedication. Then he drives off in that car and we revoke his Mancard.

Sgt. Patterson had another good game on the wing as he continues to prepare for his upcoming league. The White defense again generated several offensive chances, with Rusty bombing away from the point or Joe jr. leading the rush the chances were there. Bad back & all Romo loves to push the tempo but never at the expense of his defensive responsibility, as usual he was all over the ice.
The Dark gang turned the game around with defense, Murph & Flounder teamed up to shut down the potent White attack clearing rebounds & making quick outlet passes while Johnny Longpants made all the plays & skated the puck out of trouble. Daddy Pat & Quiet Brian were tremendous this week, Pat with his relentless fore check frustrates defensemen each week & he is almost always rewarded with a goal or two. Quiet Brian was great at both ends as well picking up a couple big goals & saving my ass more than a few times.
Britter is still MIA the latest report is he has been hanging up in New York so long he is turning into an ignorant asshole like the rest of those lousy New Yorkers. The Commish was out with an upper body injury looks like he may have suffered a concussion while trying to grow some hair. Limpin' Liam & Spongee were busy having coffee with their new neighbors in hopes of looking as normal as possible. Looks like the house may be back on the market.
Fricker was home watching ROOTS & The Color Purple in HD.
Crafty did a nice job with the suds serving up some LaBatt's & Molson Canadian while the boys took advantage of the warm night with a little tailgate party.
Crabby is not responsible for the horrendous spelling, grammar, and spongeification of this blog's content.
