WEEKLY UPDATE

Sorry for the delay with the update this week there were two problems, first I spent two hours trying to get the calculator to boot up ( you guys in locker room one will get that one) & then I had a bout of writers block until I found the remedy.

An Arctic chill blew into town but I still managed to get a pretty good sunburn on the back of my neck as the White boys skated off with a lopsided win. The Pale ones were clicking on all cylinders, with Romo & Johnny Longpants controlling the points & Chris playing well between the pipes the Darkies could not afford a poor effort from yours truly.

Craskey, Chuck & Fricker were all on their game, moving the puck & getting some good chances & they even got to rest whenever they had a shift with Sean. The Constipation Kid had a hard time passing. Spongee returned after three days of jury duty on a case that had striking similarities to the OJ Simpson trial. First there was a bunch of black guys all on the jury but they were still black, a glove was used as evidence & one could argue some of Spongee's early blog posts were similar to Kato Kalins testimony.

The Darkies gave a solid effort as always scoring enough goals to keep the score respectable & making closer with a late surge. Daddy Pat returned & was a welcomed addition before his trick knee forced him to the locker room late in this one. Quiet Brian, 5 & White Doug all played well but found out early they were not going to have an easy time scoring. On defense, Cricket, Flounder & Murph were there for the rebounds all night, problem was I was not producing any.

Shooter & Crabby had a sit down recently both seem to be doing well. The Commish was a late scratch, heard he landed a date with Manti Te'os ex & Wojo got stood up by Buckets by then it was to late to get another ride. Murph did a great job with the beers supplying  LaBatt's & Miller Lite that was as cold as the night air.

Till next week

WEEKLY UPDATE

What a sports week in Philadelphia, the NHL is back, Giroux named captain,  Eagles land a new coach & the White squad wins. The pace of the game was quick & the goaltending continued to be top notch, with Tree out for a couple weeks for some botox, here is a shot of him after the "work", young Chris filled in nicely & picked up the win.
Bobby the Cop & Crafty led the way for the White offense as each has a pair of goals & Johnny Longpants picked a corner for one of his own. Hockey Dave had the game winner when he found himself alone in the slot at the right time, the guy who skates like he is dealing with lingering affects of an enema always ends up with quality chances. New comer Eddie Shore also joined us, this life long friend of our very own Rusty obviously lost a bet with his buddy & got stuck with the last known helmet from the Mel Bridgman series.

5 led the way for the Darkies with a couple of goals & left plenty of phlegm on the bench while Quiet Brian & White Doug kept the tempo up at the offensive end chipping in with some points. Wojo is just about completely back in the TNHL after drinking a few beers this week he is expected to call Glen for a ride next week to seal his reinstatement.

Flounder was sporting his sweet Flyers practice jersey its a nice shade of Lavy Blue he & Murph, the Celtic Warrior had more blocks than the Eagles offensive line.

Cricket has been off his game a little lately since some of his Glamor Shots prom pictures wound up on the Internet.

Romo, Chuck & Fricker gave us exactly what you expect every game while Spongee has set the Delaware County Court System on its ear with his roll as Matlock. The Commish shelled out a few bucks for some new skates but ultimately decided to use some Flex-Seal & a set of Ginsu knives to repair his trusted old footwear. Add Crabby to the Hipster crowd as we got word this week that replacement surgery will take place in February, he like Shooter is believed to have injured their hip in a Disco mishap at a Bonner mixer sometime around 1974. Crafty did a nice job with the beers serving up some LaBatt's & Miller Lite.

Till next week

Beer List Update

Liam and Crabby have been removed from the beer list so everyone moves up 2 weeks. This change has been endorsed by the "beer czar", "the mirsa missle", "russ don't go fishing with me" fury.

WEEKLY UPDATE

The boys returned en mass this week after what turned into a two week holiday break for some & both benches were full. This meant a good pace which means a good game that saw the Darkies skate pull away late for the win. The White boys had the speed game working early as an energized Romo found himself alone in the slot & his shot had enough steam to get over the line to open the scoring. The Darkies tied it quickly only to see the White squad open up a 5-1 lead, Crafty, playing on sheer adrenaline, scored almost as many points as Notre Dame the night before.
Bobby the cop joined us once again & this time played the whole game at top speed. Tree was solid as always frustrating the Darkies before shots started finding some small openings. Alot of the boys were sporting some new gear, Cricket was flying around in a new helmet, Flounder found a new bag & Quiet Brian got a new bruise but Mitch (who is going to need a nickname) got the best gift, a new team half way through the game. Wojo returned & is finding that the TNHL is a kinda like the Mafia, no matter how hard he tries ha can't seem to get out. He teamed with White Doug & 5 to help the Darkies climb out of the hole & take the lead they would not surrender. Fricker & Chuck picked up where they left off before Christmas buzzing around the Dark zone creating quality chances only to be held at bay most times by grizzled veteran Murph. Spongee & Rusty were also at the top of their games for the Whites, Spongee cursing up a blue streak & Rusty leaving all on the ice, literally as his son will tell you. Johnny Longpants was his normally calm self amid the chaos that is a TNHL match, & it looks like the Commish spent a little to much time at the buffet table over the holidays as his skate rivets gave out early on so he had to start drinking.

Flounder did a great job with the beer supplying a case of LaBatt's backed up by a case of Molsen Canadian only to have most guys slip out of the rink without tipping a few, what the hell is going on with this group.

A quick update on a couple of our regulars, Good luck goes out to Daddy Pat who has ventured out on his own after a nice stretch with Eaton, not sure of the company name but I know  Pat so I know it will be successful. Good luck also goes out to Shooter who is recovering from yet another surgery, here is hoping he is back on his skates soon.                                       Till next week
